Hard Rock International today announces the appointment of Elena Álvarez as its new vice president of sales and marketing. Álvarez, with 14 years of experience at Hard Rock®, has previously held the position of sales and marketing director for Europe, being in charge of directing this area for the 24 European stores, located in 13 different countries. From this position, Elena Álvarez aligned the organization's objectives with a business strategy based on participation in corporate strategic programming, the development of sales strategies and forecasts, and the planning of sales resources and budgets. In his new position, Álvarez will be responsible for the company's sales and marketing department, which includes 43 Cafes in North America and 24 Cafes in Europe, and will report directly to David Pellow, Vice President of Operations at Hard Rock International.

Álvarez has also been a member of the Advisory Council of the Hard Rock Heals Foundation , a solidarity and corporate social responsibility organization promoted by Hard Rock International. Álvarez closed an agreement between Hard Rock Cafe and the Vicente Ferrer Foundation. Throughout this relationship, which lasted from 2006 to 2016, Álvarez and his team helped improve the local community through the construction of schools and homes, the delivery of thousands of bicycles to high school students and the collaboration with centers special education programs aimed at children with mental disabilities or cerebral palsy. HRC also supported Bathalapalli Hospital, which serves more than 1,200 patients annually.
